It has to be the coldest day of the year so far and the kids (and I) really just want to go outside and run around... but it is too cold for that. I spent the morning putting beads in their hair and sorting the bead container that had been all mixed up so that each color bead had its own bin again.
So in short, we were a little stir crazy and needed something fun (aka distracting for kids) to do.
With all of our animals, we always have lots of grains around... I know! lets get a bucket of corn and make a sensory table to play with. The grain sure was cold, but the kids were thrilled and I even had time to make this quick post. Hopefully most of the corn stays on the mat so I can pick it up quickly. They are filling up toy pots and 'cooking' it in their play kitchen.
Sure glad to know its all organic corn and safe to play with!
