Ingredients

  • 3 pounds very ripe garden tomatoes, cored, roughly chopped
  • 1 1/4 cups chopped celery with leaves
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp sugar (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Pinch black pepper
  • A couple shakes of Tabasco sauce, about 6-8 drops (to taste)

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients into a blender and blend until combined. This can be done in batches if your blender is on the smaller side.
  2. Add the blended mixture into a large soup pot and bring to a simmer. Cook, uncovered for about 25 minutes.
  3. Strain mixture through a sieve or cheesecloth.
  4. Enjoy chilled with all your favorite bloody mary fixings!
  5. Store covered in the fridge for up to a week.
