Please note that we are aiming to include a balanced share which maximizes local and heirloom produce. However, we also want to minimize food waste by ensuring the included food is usable in our busy lives! Plan on some foods from out of state, especially fruits and outside of the Minnesota growing season.

This package will include a mix of specialty seasonal items along with every day fruit staples. Focus is on quality and organic produce

Minnesota's fruit season is fairly short; we will feature seasonal specialty fruit year round at its peak flavor, but will also include every day fruits in every package.

Recipe Ideas from This Week's Produce

Fermented beets are so tasty and good for you... filled with probiotics, they are a perfect way to capture a bit of summer. Using an InstantPot or other e-Pressure Cooker is an ideal way to cook beets.

Beets are SO good, but they also require planning ahead to roast and use in things... I love having this quick option for a great salty and sweet snack or side dish!

Nothing goes with a great burger or fries like some delicious roasted beets! These are good warm or refrigerated. You can also freeze the beets before topping and save them for a quick dish later.

With the snow on the way, we thought a nice summer scene would go nicely with the summer salad. This recipe works equally well with pork chops or chicken breasts. Although the ingredient list looks long, it is so easy to prepare. Everything can be made ahead of time which makes it a great dish for entertaining.

There are a few methods out there for how to cook spaghetti squash. In my opinion, halved and baked cut side down is the best method. Hands down.

This dish is a cross between a stew and beef with sauce. Consider adding potatoes or fried bread as a side. Don’t waste your time measuring anything with this one. I made up the amounts after the fact anyhow!

There is nothing like local heirloom carrots. We just love when we get them in our veggie CSA. They are fantastic raw, but add a bit of honey and ginger and you get something quite special for the few minutes of your time.

We had this soup at a fancy Bed and Breakfast once - amazing! Its good as a main dish, side or maybe even dessert?

Parsnips are really super good, probably my favorite side right now. Consider doubling this recipe and save the extras for the next morning to make cakes fried in bacon fat to have with your eggs.

A great way to serve up a pork shoulder. Tender, juicy and SO MUCH FLAVOR! We made some mashed parsnips and potatoes as a side. Enjoy!

A fantastic meal… Wow is this good! It is delicious with parsnips or with wild rice.
