Leave (most of) the cooking to us...

Cooking is so much more fun when you have a Sous Chef... You know, when someone else does all the chopping and most of the cooking FOR you... and YOU just get to pick the sides and make the finishing touches to a fantastic healthy meal?

The last six months Betsy and I have been collaborating with the family who we entrust all of our processing with to come up with (almost) ready to eat meals. We've tried different recipes, different variations and I am so excited to be able to finally publish this post:

Our Sous Chef meals are finally ready to serve!

I can't tell you how nice it has been these last few months while we taste tested these meals. We've been so busy with the rest of life... having the ability to just make up a couple of quick sides and serve a gourmet meal to my family that I could trust was quite a relief. I am actually quite sad to have all of our samples gone and needing to fend for ourselves again!

How to get your Sous Chef meals

If you're a member, simply request the Sous Chef box (#190) for your next delivery using the special request form

TIP: If you don't want to miss out on your regular delivery, request the Sous Chef meals as an 'add on' and we will send you a separate invoice.

If you're not a member, then join today. We've been growing and changing. Over the years, we've figured out how to meet most family's needs and would be excited to have you in our group.

We don't have near-term plans to offer the Sous Chef boxes to non-members, but hope to include them in our samplers later this year.

What to expect

Every box will include a nice variety of meals, but may not include every one we offer. Check out our Sous Chef page to see the current offerings. Right now the average box costs about $199 and includes almost 16lbs of food.

How to prepare

We've included brief recipes on the Sous Chef page. Many of the meals have short videos to show you what to expect, but in reality they are pretty much 'warm up and make a gravy or side as needed'.

We've also included many of the full recipes in our online cookbook.

What kind of ingredients are used?

We've picked out the best ingredients for each recipe:

  • organic spices
  • organic veggies (onion, carrots, celery)
  • organic lemons
  • organic butter
  • organic apple cider vinegar
  • Real hickory or cherry smoke

... and of course, TC Farm's pasture raised chicken, beef and pork!

48 hour slow cooked short ribs with gravy

Smoked pulled pork shoulder...

...  and much more on our Sous Chef page.

We'd love to hear from you...

  • What other meals would you like to see offered?
  • Once you get a box, what was your favorite meal?
  • What other questions do you have about our Sous Chef meals we could answer?
