Betsy and I have been been big fans of the Alemar Cheese Company for a long time. I am SO excited to share this cheese with you. The Camembert in particular has been a treat we've allowed ourselves for a long time. Lauren can't stop eating it, but loves the seasonal Banon style cheese (Sakatah) even more.

For breakfast, I've been treating myself: toast some garlic and red-peppers in butter, add eggs and scramble. Top with Alamar cheese. Add in some toast, hash browns or a tortilla and breakfast is just so much better thanks to Alemar cheese!

I feel good knowing the cheese is made with milk from a small grass fed dairy in Litchfield.

Using such an amazing cheese on eggs or a hamburger is probably a sacrilege for a cheese that typically shines with red wine and some of my flatbread. Having these treats more often, sure makes life just a little better - and we all need a some of that right now!

You'll notice that, like all of our "bonus" items, we are able to offer these for less than in most grocery stores too!

I hope you enjoy as much as we have.

If you haven't tried any of these cheeses yet, I recommend the sampler we put together. It also includes a 12% discount and some organic dried figs and my favorite cocoa dusted almonds.

A really nice way to treat yourself this season!

NOTE: we do have limited quantities of these cheeses and the cream cheese is especially limited (that's why its not in the sampler).

You will need to be signed in before adding this to your cart. (If you're not a member, the "add to cart" button doesn't do anything.)

Goat Sharp Cheddar Cheese

Hand-milked and organic

Two 8 ounce packages of organic sharp cheddar goat cheese from Rochdale coop

This is a great go-to daily cheese from small WI farms you can trust.

Note:This cheese is organic and non-GM but the cows from this co-op are grain-fed as a portion of their diet. This is from goats who are hand-milked on small Amish farms with just a handful of animals per herd.

The Cheeses

Although they are tasty right out of the fridge, plan ahead to enjoy at room temp.

All of the rinds are edible and tasty.

Store the wrapped cheeses in their original special paper. Do NOT wrap in plastic wrap, just be careful opening and tightly re-wrap in the original packaging for storage.

Unopened, they can store for several weeks to age in your fridge (stock up)!

Bent River - Camembart

Amemar Cheese's first cheese and their flagship. Camembert is a mild creamy cheese when it is young (it will be about 5-7 weeks old when you receive it).

You may age it unopened in your fridge and experiment with the flavors you enjoy as it ages. Best before 12 or 13 weeks as it gets stronger and a bit funky flavored past that point.

Consider getting a few wheels and opening then up a couple weeks apart to see the difference.

100% Grass Fed and amazing

One wheel of Alemar Cheese Company's Bent River Camembert style cheese.

Made with 100% grass fed organic cow's milk raised on a small farm in Litchfield.

Enjoy at room temp.

We LOVE this cheese - we've been fans of Alemar Cheese Company since way back when they started and were using Cedar Summit milk! Enjoy this by itself on a cheese plate, on eggs or burgers, or really anywhere you can imagine a tangy creamy cheese. The rind is edible and we encourage eating it all together.

Will store for several weeks unopened or a good week or so in your fridge if tightly wrapped back in the original package.

Exact weights vary, this is a flat rate item

Good Thunder - Reblochon

A stronger cheese, this is a washed-rind cheese using surly Bender in the wash.

Alemar Cheese calls this "Bent River's stinky little brother"

As this ages, it will also develop into a softer more funky flavored cheese.

Washed-rind in Surly Bender!

One square of Alemar Cheese Company's Good Thunder Cheese.

Made with 100% grass fed organic cow's milk raised on a small farm in Litchfield.

Washed with Surly Bender during its three weeks of aging, this cheese gets softer and more funky with age.

Enjoy at room temp - most Reblochon style cheeses will have white or blueish growths on the rind - this is normal and safe to eat.

Will store for several weeks unopened (and get a stronger flavor if you wait) or a good week or so in your fridge if tightly wrapped back in the original package.

Sakatah - Banon

A seasonal cheese, you really should try while it is available.

This Banon style cheese is aged in Minnesota grown Marquette grape leaves which have been soaked in brandy.

This cheese is milder than the Bent River

Cut with a sharp knife to enjoy the leaves in every bite.

Sakatah Cheese

A seasonal favorite

One square of Alemar Cheese Company's Sakatah Cheese.

Made with 100% grass fed organic cow's milk raised on a small farm in Litchfield.

A bit milder than the Bent River, it is wrapped in brandy-soaked Minnesota grape leaves for aging.

Only available in the fall and early winter.

Enjoy at room temperature. The rind and grape leaf are edible and we encourage eating it all together.

Will store for several weeks unopened or a good week or so in your fridge if tightly wrapped back in the original package.

Cream Cheese

This cream cheese was really fun to try - not the hard brick style cheese you might get in the grocery.

It is light and airy and really quite good with some honey drizzled on top.

Soft young cream cheese

One tub of Alemar Cheese Company's cream cheese.

Made with 100% grass fed organic cow's milk raised on a small farm in Litchfield.

Enjoy with a drizzle of honey on crackers or bread!

We found this to be a lighter textured, almost whipped cream cheese - not the type of thick spreading cream cheese you might think of from the grocery store. Think more: a young 'chevre', but from cow's milk.

Weights vary, this is a flat rate item per tub.
