Meet Eli

Eli has been helping TC Farm since this past fall. She's with us each day in the warehouse getting everyone's food ready and also on the road, bringing deliveries straight to our members' homes.

In the warehouse, she does everything that needs to be done to get food right to people's doors. That means packing, organizing, getting ready for delivery plus figuring out all the stuff that needs to happen behind the scenes. Our warehouse stays at a toasty -10ºF. When we asked her what she thought about the cold she let us know, "It's not my favorite part. But heated gloves and socks make all the difference."

After growing up in Sioux Falls, Eli went to school at the University of MN focused on biology, society and the environment. After spending time studying to be a veterinarian and food systems, her degree focused on food systems and sustainable agriculture. Out of college she worked for several farms and a small food startup. She learned about TC Farm from the Minnesota Institute of Sustainable Agriculture's sustag group. "It was cool to be able to find a business that kind of checked all the boxes of the things I was interested in working in and for. I loved that this exists in Minneapolis and Minnesota and that it's growing."

When Eli's not working in the subzero warehouse or delivering food, she also spends time writing and producing podcasts and enjoys yoga. "A lot of hot yoga lately."

Welcome, Eli!

I met her about a week ago! She patiently waited while I fumbled with my shed lock so she could take my empty coolers. She was very sweet and kind!
