Crockpot Buffalo Chicken Wings

Only the best chicken makes the best wings!
TC Farm chickens are local, pasture raised and organic-fed.
Recipe by Jack McCann
Ingredients
- 8 T (1 stick) salted butter, cut into 1 “ pieces
- 3 garlic cloves, minced (by hand or in a mini food processor)
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- ½ cup dry white wine
- 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
- ¼ to ½ cup Tabasco sauce or hot sauce of choice (depending on your tolerance for heat)
- 1 pack TC Farm Chicken Wings (roughly 1 lb total)
Instructions
1. Add all of the ingredients into a crockpot and turn it on low. Stir everything together and add in more water or wine as needed. Once combined, add in your wings… If you start from frozen it will take more time than if they are thawed.
2. Cook on low for the morning, stirring around as needed. You can leave them on low for a while, just don’t let them dry out too much.
3. Just before you want to eat them, pull the wings out and broil in an oven or place on a hot grill to crisp up the skin. Pan frying also works but will be the messier of the methods. The goal is just to crisp up the outside, so keep a close eye on them!
Tip from Jack: For experiment-minded people, this is a sauce, a perfect opportunity to have some fun with spices & flavors! Maybe add some cinnamon, clove, or soy sauce. I would think some brown sugar would go great in this too!
