Amelia Kirchoff created the original MacroBar recipe after transitioning to a plant-based diet following a battle with breast cancer in 2003. Her recovery inspired them to start making more bars & spreading the word about the health benefits of eating more plant-based foods.

In partnership with her daughter Jola, they founded GoMacro Bars from their home in Viola, WI and began selling their plant-based bars at local co-ops.
