Meet Brian Frederickson

Ames Farm was started over 20 years ago by Brian Frederickson. He has a deep appreciation for how bees make different varieties of honey depending on what tree, shrub or plant is in bloom around them.

Ames Farm cares for their bees and works with local landowners to keep them in areas that are not sprayed with chemicals and have lush sources of native trees, shrubs and plants for the bees to visit over each season.

In addition to caring for their own bees, Ames Farm is also huge advocate for protecting all pollinators across our state!

The Perks of Raw Honey

All of Ames' beehives are on the west side of the Twin Cities Metro area.

Local honeys are made up from the plants that are here in our area. That can have beneficial properties for those looking to use honey to help with allergies & medicinal purposes!
