It's Good for You
Sweet corn is a whole-grain food that's high in fiber & low in fat. It has about 80 calories per ear and contains lots of essential nutrients and vitamins!
Keep It Local, Keep it Fresh
Due to it's very short shelf life, it's important to choose locally grown sweet corn to ensure you get the freshest, best-tasting results. Non-local corn available in stores has often traveled quite a ways to get there (and lost a lot of its flavor and sweetness as a result!) Once you have local corn on hand (yay!), we reccomend enjoying it as soon as you're able to.
We'll be getting local sweet corn in on a regular basis this season and delivering right to our members' doors at peak freshness!
Enjoy Fresh, Local Sweet Corn Year-Round: Freeze It!
1. Husk corn, then boil cobs for 8-10 minutes
2. Remove cobs & place in ice water to chill
3. Cut off kernels (if desired)
4. Freeze in vacuum sealed or freezer safe bags for up to 12 months!
