Meet Farmer Keith

Farmer Keith grazes pigs on pasture year-round, which provides them the opportunity to express their natural behaviors and gives them a healthy, diveserse diet.
Our regenerative, sustainable farming practices strengthen the environment and protect native plants & species. Keith's ability to grow his own feed allows our pigs the opportunity to eat local and helps us gain independence from the larger industrial
food system.
Learn more about farmer Keith, how we raise TC Farm pork and see pictures from Keith's farm below! There are no local grocery stores offering pork raised outside or raised organically- Our pork is truly something unique!

In Keith's Words- The Benefits of TC Farm Partnership
"Partnering with TC Farm has enabled me to focus on the daily farm work and to grow my farm.
Shortly after partnering with TC Farm, I was able to farm full time and support a family.
I have raised over 10,000 chickens for TC Farm and now raise 250 hogs annually for TC Farm. I also farm 550 acres of corn, soybeans, barley, alfalfa and cover crops. Not only has their partnership helped my livestock enterprise, but it has also diversified my crop rotation. The transitional organic corn, barley and alfalfa are fed to animals grown for TC Farm."
Farming is a family affair on Keith's farm!
His kids are happy to help examine hay bails and say hi to our pigs!
TC Farm Pork: Rotationally Grazed on Actual Green Pasture
Our pigs have continuous access to pasture & wooded lots and graze rotationally so that our fields have the chance to recover & grow back stronger.
Rotational grazing methods make a positive impact in a number of ways:
- Our pastures capture carbon and provide the very best animal welfare- Pigs love foraging!
- Chemical-free fields provide a natural habitat for native plants & species
- Healthy pastures protect lakes and streams by soaking in rain and reducing run-off
Plus, did you know that pork from pasture raised pigs contains more Vitamin D?!
While most pigs eat a corn and soy diet, TC Farm pigs are not fed any soy. Imagine eating a diet of only polenta and protein extract for every single meal...How would you feel?
Offering our pigs a diverse & healthy diet dramatically increases their health, temperament, and the flavor of our pork.

TC Farm Pigs Eat Local, Too!
Farmer Keith grows feed for our pigs on his very own farm!
Our pigs enjoy foraging in the pasture over the summer and winter months, eating a balanced diet of greenery and small grains. We never use growth drugs or hormones, allowing our pigs grow at a natural pace (20% slower growth than conventional pork)!
Thanks to our members' support, Keith was able to purchase a larger storage bin to hold the food that he grows. See how big the grain bin was as it arrived, 48' wide and 70' tall! Having the capacity to grow and store his own feed is critical to the success of Keith's farm and a testament to his sustainable farming methods!
Because of our partnership and the larger work we do offering complimentary grocery and ready-to-eat items, Keith's pork is actually about half the cost of some of the other farms who offer soy-free and transition organic-fed pork.
