About the Farms:

Our Uganda beans are purchased as a direct trade with the coffee farmers through Mountain Harvest, a Lutheran World Relief organization.  Purchasing this coffee helps support Mountain Harvest and Lutheran World Relief’s mission to help rural coffee farmers raise income, increase resilience, and provide smallholder farmers a pathway out of poverty. 

This specific coffee hails from the communities of Mount Elgon, an extinct volcano on the border of Uganda and Kenya. For these farmers, coffee is more than a crop - it’s a ministry. Part of their ministry is the belief that “Education is Light,” which has allowed them to build a strong community and a school to help children realize better futures. With your purchase of our Uganda beans, you become part of that ministry.
