Purchasing in Bulk From TC Farm

Why buying from TC Farm is better

  • Organic Spiced

Most processors can't offer organic spices, so let's say you splurge and buy some nice organic-fed pork. Why would you want all the bacon, ham and sausages full of conventional chemicals?


  • Variety

When buying a half or whole hog/steer from other farms, you'll usually only only get one or two kinds of sausages which means a freezer full of the same things instead of the wide variety our group is able to provide.


  • Flavor

Unless you’re buying meat to a factory specification, there will always be some natural variation in flavor.


Pasture-raised meats are hands down the best… but you could get ten people to all taste the same steak and get ten different opinions about it. And you can have ten steers raised exactly the same way and have ten differently flavored steaks.


If you get a freezer full of meat and the animal you randomly received isn’t all that tasty, that’s quite a bummer. Getting smaller packages year round ensures you’ll get to try all of the natural variations in flavor and not be stuck with a freezer full of meat that you might not like.

Buy individual cuts in bulk and save!

Most of our meat items have bulk discounts that are applied when you order a certain quantity, (bulk discounts are listed on the boxcard for each item). This is a great way to get the cuts you love, and a lot of them at a great discount! 


Pre-Made Bulk Orders

How this is different than a traditional 'custom cut' bulk order?

  1. You can get your food right away.

  2. You don't get the meat from only a single animal. This is a mix-match package, which is quite helpful. If you buy a quarter steer at once, it is possible that individual animal won't taste as good as others. If you happen to get a freezer full of meat from one that isn't ideal, that is a huge bummer!

  3. If you want to swap out some of the items in these bulk orders just let us know and we can get you more variety and simply charge the difference in cost.

Custom Cut Bulk Orders

For members that want the option to purchase custom cuts in bulk, we offer either whole or half steers or hogs when we have them available. (We don't offer quarters in bulk). It typically take a couple of months to get custom bulk orders delivered because we are custom cutting them just for you. 


The main reason to order a half or whole is for members who want specific cuts butchered in ways we don’t typically offer (and want a lot of that cut). TC Farm is set up to offer our members cuts of beef, pork and chicken along with their weekly deliveries. 


If you want to place a custom cut bulk order, we highly recomend that you try the individual cuts that we offer first, before placing your order! 

Beef

Beef

For a half steer, beef would be around $7/lb. plus processing. Hanging weight is typically between 300-400 pounds. A whole steer would be twice that. Processing starts around $350 depending on the size and options you choose. 


All our beef is 100% grass-fed

Pork

Forest Hog Chops

For a whole hog, pork would be around $4.49/lb plus processing. Hanging weight for a whole hog is approximately 250lbs. The pricing for a half hog would be approximately half of that. Processing starts around $250.


We ask for a non-refundable $250 processing deposit (which is applied towards the cost of the hog or half hog) since once we cut the hog into your specific cuts, we won't be able to use that for any of our members. The balance is due when the hog is processed (before delivery).

You can choose to either have your order delivered right to your house or pick it up at our warehouse in Blaine.
