Sweet and Savory Ham & Brie Stuffed French Toast
This is a wonderfully easy brunch recipe that will help you use up any leftover TC Farm ham roast, or make it even quicker with our TC Farm Sliced Rustic Ham!

To feed a crowd, do it up casserole-style and arrange the "sandwiches" in a rectangular pan, allowing the egg mixture to soak into the bread slices for at least 15 minutes, then bake for 45-50 minutes at 350 degrees.

Drench them with some maple syrup or honey and you have a brunch that will satisfy both sweet and savory food fans!

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of thick-cut bread (such as brioche or challah)
  • 4 ounces of Brie cheese, sliced
  • 4 slices of ham
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Butter for cooking
  • Honey or maple syrup for serving

Instructions

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Filling:

    • Lay out the slices of bread and place Brie cheese and ham on two of the slices.
    • Top with the remaining slices of bread to form sandwiches.
  2. Make the Egg Mixture:

    • In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon.
  3. Dip the Sandwiches:

    • Carefully dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are well-coated.
  4. Cook the French Toast:

    • Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a generous amount of butter.
    • Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  5. Serve:

    • Remove the French toast from the skillet and place on serving plates.
    • Drizzle with honey or maple syrup and serve immediately.
