Produce Storage Tips

To ensure your fruits and vegetables remain fresh and retain their nutritional value for longer, follow these storage guidelines:
  • Identify Specific Storage Needs: Different produce has unique storage requirements. Learn and apply the right conditions for each type to maintain their freshness.
  • Separate Fruits from Vegetables: Keep fruits and vegetables in different storage spaces. Fruits emit ethylene gas, a natural ripening agent that can cause vegetables to spoil prematurely.
  • Hold Off on Washing: Wait to wash your produce until you’re about to consume it. Introducing excess moisture before storage can lead to quicker decay.

Enjoy Lasting Freshness - By implementing these simple steps, you can maximize the shelf life and quality of your produce.
