Meet Farmer Kerry: Premium Pasture Raised Lamb

About Kerry's Farm
Kerry raises and rotationally grazes lamb, heritage forest hogs, chickens, ducks and more on green pastures and wooded lots on his farm in Montrose, Minnesota. Without orders from our group it would be difficult for him to find a market for his meat as it's raised to such a high standard.
Rotational Grazing Methods:
By frequently moving his animals to different grazing areas, Kerry ensures the health of the soil, protects native plants & species and prevents water runoff.

Lamb Wool Comforters & Pillows
In 2024 farmer Kerry generously donated some wool comforters and pillows made from his very own lambs in support of TC Feeds. A few lucky farm tour attendees got to take them home to enjoy as family heirlooms for years to come!

Cats!
Everyone's welcome on Kerry's farm!
These two cats were seen snuggling in the hay bales during one of our farm tours. Cute!

More About Farmer Kerry
In the early 2000s, Kerry went to culinary school in California. He started to learn more about rotational grazing, raising sheep and breed conservancy while in Sonoma County and this “lit his fire” for becoming a farmer. He valued how the heritage breeds he saw were not bred for the commodity farming lifestyle and he, too, wanted to farm in a way that would support the health plus the wellbeing of the animals and the environment.
In 2007 he and his wife moved back to MN where she worked full time as he got the farm up and running as a stay-at-home dad. The name of their farm comes from using the first initial letter in each of their three sons' first names. Over time, Kerry has worked to replace almost all of the buildings on the farm (the original barn is still there but has been updated!)

When not on the farm, Kerry enjoys supporting his sons who are involved in college football!
